Medical & Surgical Services
Since our
practice is a General Dermatology office, we take care of Medical
and Surgical Dermatology concerns.
Our main focus is the detection and treatment of skin cancers
(abnormal “moles,” pre-cancer lesions, basal cell carcinoma,
squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma). We perform comprehensive
skin examinations for the detection and treatment of pre-cancerous
and cancerous lesions. We perform biopsies of any suspicious or
changing lesions. Our practice treats skin cancers with either
Electrodesiccation and Curettage (ED&C) or surgical excision in our
office under local anesthesia.
We also surgically treat warts, molluscum, cysts, pyogenic
granulomas, and other benign lesions. We commonly remove irritated
or bothersome “moles” or lesions such as skin tags and seborrheic
keratoses. We also treat keloids (thick scars) and certain types of
hair loss (alopecia areata) with intralesional injections.
Our practice also takes care of numerous other common conditions
including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, allergic skin reactions,
skin infections (viral, bacterial or fungal), melasma, and rashes. |
